Homemade Honey Lemon Tea~

Wednesday, July 13, 2011

Hi All,

Today I got stuck in jury duty. I wish I had tried harder to wiggle my way out of it, but the only thing I didn't like about wasting my day at the court house was that I got the sniffles! They were blasting the air conditioner and the air was so dry that the other female jurors were digging in their purses for cough drops and candy to prevent their throats from drying. The lady behind me had a cold, I believe, and I think she was contagious because now I have the sniffles! Ugh… so now I'm here sippin' on my honey lemon tea that I made last week. You all know that lemons are FULL of Vitamin C right? :)

Look at this HUGE lemon from my backyard!!

When you cut fresh lemon and put it into your tea, it's soooo sour that you end up putting more honey than you actually want or need. So do what I did:

1. Wash your lemon and cut it into thin round slices
or peel the skin and cut up the lemon into chunky pieces
2. Put it into some kind of tupperware
3. Drizzle some honey on it
4. Let it sit overnight and then you can enjoy
fresh honey lemon tea the next day!

I'm so happy I have a lemon tree in my backyard because I wouldn't want to pay for all these lemons at the grocery store! :P

Enjoy~!

  1. Mmm...I love lemon and honey tea. I only use one or two slices for my cuppa. And we have a lemon tree in the back yard too so it's organic (yay!!!). I'd worry about the rind if we it were from the store, pesticides. Hop you feel better.
